When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.... Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

I started swimming yesterday...

to get back into shape. I used to be captian of my high school swim team back in the day. My events were the 200 IM, and the 100 Butterfly. I wasn't too shabby either. I was actually 6th in the county my senior year in the butterfly. Anyway, swimming comes really naturally to me, and I enjoy it. It's also a lot easier on my old aching joints and knees, so I thought it'd be a good way to get back into shape. So, yesterday was my first day at the public pool. Goggles in hand, I went out to the pool deck, and proceeded to dive into ice fucking cold water. I did my laps, more than I thought I'd do, and I went back to the locker room to shower up and go home. There's something about going to a mens public locker room, not sure how the women's ones are, but in the mens, all you see is old naked shriveled up dick. It's quite scary actually. Well, hope everyone's week is going well. The wife and I are going to see Billy Joel at MSG this saturday night, and combined with some more painting around the house, I should have a pretty good weekend.

I can see the light...

at the end of the tunnel. The last major project in our house is winding down. We've done a lot to our humble little home like installing new hardwood floors, tons of new paint, installing new closet doors (thanks Mr. Tom), refinishing the deck, installing molding everywhere, new carpets, new light fixtures..you get the idea. Anyway, the last project is a big one......ripping down the wall-paper in the downstairs hallway, the steps upstairs, and the upstairs landing. Then installing a nice colonial style molding, and finally painting everything. Anyway, we're up to the painting stage, and hopefully by the end of this weekend, we'll be most of the way through that. I've got my parents coming over tomorrow to help paint, and the in-laws coming over on Sunday. Monday is a Daddy and Bella day as the Mrs. and her Dad are going skiing upstate. I unfortunantly did a little damage to my knee earlier in the winter and am unable to strap on the old snowboard for the time being.
ANyway, have a great presidents day weekend everyone. Stay warm
Love,
Mr. Pu

Enough....

fucking around with the snow shovel.....I will be buying a snowblower, and I will be the guy that helps out all his neighbors. I'm sick of shoveling, and the recent dumping we just recieved has finally convinced me to splurge and purchase one.

Is It just me....

Or is anyone else worried that the world is on the verge of a true holy war? Won't it be funny to tell our grandchildren that the flashpoint for World War 3 was a bunch of Cartoons?

I guess if one is truly angry at something, anything and everything could be used as a rallying point for violence.

peace,

My Weekend....

I've been married for 3 and a half years now. I dated Mrs. Pu about 2 and a half years before we got married. Before we dated, I knew her for about 4 years all through college, anyway, I guess you could say that I know her pretty well by now. You'd think I'd be able to tell the difference between the normal Mrs. Pu, and the PMS'ing Mrs. Pu by now. Well, dummy me, I still can't. She decided to pick this weekend to have a full blown emotional, PMS, scream-a-thon on me. She tore into me like a monkey on a cupcake. I didn't have a chance. And then Sunday morning, when I awoke, I went out and got a bouquet of Tulips for her before she woke up, like it was my fuckin fault that I got screamed on.
What I did to deserve the treatment I got......I'll never know. But it certainly wasn't a very pleasent experience
